1K · The app · In development
A social app with a guest list.
A thousand hand-picked creators publish, as often as they like. Everyone else reads, following all thousand from day one.
Who they are
Every creator, in three aspects.
On 1K a creator only ever appears through these three.
- CreatorWho they are: experience, history.
- CreativityTheir thoughts.
- CreationWhat they’ve made: the portfolio.
What they share
And they share in the same three.
Beyond their own profile, they keep publishing, as often as they like. Every update is a plate, never a feed item.
- CreatorA person worth knowing: a face, a name.
- CreativityA thought worth thinking about.
- CreationA thing worth using: a product, a skill.
How you read · Meet them
Turn a creator to meet them.
Open one and turn their cube: who they are, what they think, what they’ve made. Swipe for the next, 000 to 999. No algorithm picks.
Try it · Tap the cube · Swipe it
How you read · Home
All thousand on one screen.
Home is the thousand, one cell per creator. A cell lights when they publish. Turn the board to one face to read only that shape.
How you read · Their plates
One plate at a time.
Tap a lit cell and their new plates come up one by one. Swipe one away for the next. Last one gone, the light goes out.
The thousand, out loud
Publishers, filters, second opinions.
The thousand don’t just publish. They second, counter and answer each other in public. That’s how the good stuff rises.
Layer one · The thousand
Flip a plate: 999 second opinions.
Its back shows who seconded or countered it, seat by seat, each with a line. A blank line stays blank, for all to see.
Layer two · Readers
Then it reaches every reader.
It lights every reader’s board until they’ve read it. Readers can react and reply too, one layer down, never mixed with the thousand’s.
Where
Pocket, desk, browser.
Read on the train, keep at your desk. Same thousand, same lights, everywhere.
iPhone · iPad mini · iPad · Mac · Web
Who earns
Not a creator fund. A split.
Whatever the surface earns is divided into a thousand equal shares, one per seat.
Your move
Read now. Post later.
Anyone can read the thousand. Posting takes a seat, and seats turn over.
